Here’s an intriguing article I found. ;)

Fred Minnick sang the praises of bourbons in the past. Depending on who you talk to, what you read, and what you believe, his reviews may have had an impact on those bourbons. Perception, availability, and price maybe? Hmmmmm. 🤔 I wonder if this article will have an affect on Dant. Regardless, Katy bar the door, and start stocking up.😳

I've had the EW BiB and JTS Brown, but not this one. How much profile difference is there? Being a 1L bottle has made me less inclined to impulse buy one...

I think of the three as fairly interchangeable for the most part. Especially as most buyers of any of those labels are generally using it to make cocktails. I’m sure there are a few diehards of one brand that could pick their regular blind versus the other two when drinking them neat, but many people couldn’t.

In recent years I drank more EWBIB than Brown/Dant just because the EW was available in 1.75s nice and cheap

Pretty much the same thoughts here @BottledInBond. I got tired of picking and choosing between the three, so I blended ‘em. ;)

I've been a JW Dant fan for years.

My impression as to the differences between the other HH bonded brands - they seem to be going toward a more rye forward profile for the Dant.

FWIW, I've always considered JW Dant superior to JTS Brown, if you're drinking it neat or over a cube.   ...Fewer rough edges IMHO.   However, if it's cocktails, and I want the character of my Bourbon to be 'forward' in most cocktails, the Dant does that very well.    EW BIB is kinda halfway between to me... not many rough edges for a bottom shelfer; but, not as strong a profile when mixed.   All are good Bourbons for the cheddar, though.
