I received this bottle from my grandfather. The tax stamp indicates a 1970's bottling. I cannot find any record of Kentucky Distilling Co. I'm just trying to assess quality/value of bourbon. Not sure if it's quality bourbon or not? I just don't want to open it if I should hold for special occasion. Any info would be great.

This bottles looks to be from before Zip codes which started in the early 60s. 

 

Looking it up, Zip codes started on July 1, 1963.

Unique that it's charcoal filtered. 

 

If you want to know if it tastes good, open it up and take a pull....or send it my way and I'll crack it open and let you knowB)

 

EDIT: Noticing it's your first post. Welcome. Just so you know, no one will comment on the value because that's just not done around here and not many people care. Most will tell you to open it.
