Rock Wirtz passed away today. Aside from owning the Chicago Blackhawks, he also owned Breakthru Beverage. Formerly Wirtz Beverage, Breakthru Beverage is a major liquor alcohol/liquor distributor here in Illinois. RIP Rocky.

Great guy - took the Blackhawks out of oblivion and local TV blackouts to 3 Stanley Cups. Enough said. We owe him a debt of gratitude for bringing the Hawks into the modern age and as a legit franchise in the NHL once again. Glad he got to see Connor Bedard drafted so he can rest easy his team is on the right track again. RIP
