Theantiquetiger2
I found this over the weekend at an estate sale. Unopened, tax strip unbroken. Any info on this thing? It’s a blend, so did they take the barrels listed on the label, blend, and then age for another 11 years?
PaulO
At first I was skeptical that this was someone's arts and crafts project, but then I Googled, and found another just like it (minus water stains on the label) listed on an auction site. Auction site claims it to have been bottled in 1964 by Publiker, containing barrels and bottles they acquired all over the state in the 1920s. I imagine the 11 year statement is the minimum age any of it spent in a barrel before being dumped into a vat.
Theantiquetiger2
Well damn, I could have read that if I had just scrolled down. I guess I was so excited at the price it sold for, I never scrolled down. I still don’t understand the age, did it sit in a vat for 40 years?
