JmNc
Hi my name is Joseph, I have only been collecting for a couple of years now and I can’t think of any other product that attracts scammers like liquor does. My idea is to create a website that lists all of these fake websites. If a company in question can’t produce a FaceTime call showing their products then they go onto the website list. The biggest red flags that I have found are the following: The phone number goes straight to voicemail that is a Google voice recorder. They don’t accept credit cards. Generic advertising photos. Priced below market value. They Stock very hard to find bottles. Here are two examples. https://hopkinsliquorcollection.com https://www.liquorgurushop.com Is there a website that already does what I’m describing ? I would like to get a list of fake websites together so please post what you have. Let me know your thoughts? Joseph
Special Reserve
Welcome to SB, You presented an interesting early post. Like a lot of things on the internet, they have to be considered for entertainment purposes only.
PaulO
Hi Joseph, I believe there had been some posts in the past concerning people's experiences, naming several reputable online stores. Where I live (Indiana) that's not an option for me. We can't legally have liquor shipped to us. Even if we could, the shipping and handling would send the price crazy. I would suspect fraud anytime offers pop up to sell hard to get bottles and there's no brick a mortar store or liquor license.
