What bourbon are you drinking this Spring - 2024

Old Tub BIB on a cube.  This bottle is going quickly.  Solid whiskey at an acceptable price.  My fondness for Jim Beam Bonded has me thinking Old Tub isn’t as good, while seemingly the same specs.  But, it’s been awhile since my last try of Bonded, so fond memories may be tainting my view.  But…But…I am pretty sure that Bonded was more viscous and juicier.  Regardless, the Tub is very nice, all things considered.

2015 EWSB over a clear cube.  2nd bottle from the same barrel.  Continues to be very good, and a big step up from where they left off years ago before stopping total US distribution.  Sipping on this I began to think of how I really enjoyed getting each years release, years ago.  Then, began remembering which year was my favorite.  Didn’t take long…1994.  Without question.

I picked that bottle up yesterday & joined you. It's VOB Intensified. This was a 1st timer for me and I am stunned at the added complexity & flavors at a lower proof.

Mine is 8yrs 4mnths & am looking forward to having that as a 1st pour tonight.

I finished off my 2017 OFBB bottle and since it hit the spot I wanted to stay in the OF wheelhouse.  OF SiBBP now with ice.  To my palate it's not nearly as good as the birthday bourbon.
