FacePlant
White Weller. We went back last night to an old fav Memphis restaurant that usually has a great bourbon bar, and they didn't disappoint. On the bar was all the colors of Weller for $20 except for the green that was much less. I had a red just to make sure the white was as good as I thought it was. They had pappy 10, 12 &15 along with 18yr Knob, BP EC, and many other tater goodies. No BTAC at all which was a slight surprise since they seemed loaded with BTs finest. Did I mention the filet that only needed a fork?

You’ve now created an earworm in me, as I’ll spend the rest of the day singing White Weller to Billy Idol’s White Wedding. . “Come on, nice day for a White Weller day.” Edited June 8, 2024 by smokinjoe

Anwalt
4R, 120 proof. I'm turning back to them after a hiatus. I think getting in the rye whiskey has given me a better appreciation for high-rye bourbon. I very much like this one.

As mentioned above, Blanton's would be an appropriate choice also because that's what he drinks in the movie.

IamMatt
Last couple pf nights I have been drinking Trader Joe's Full Proof Bourbon. Barton 1792 juice, quite enjoyable. It;'s a limited release that comes out in the fall the last few years but I heard a rumor they will not be releasing it again. Dunno why if that that's true; it sells out very quickly.

Davesnothere
We had a neighborhood bottle share last night. The Traveler was actually very nice for what it is. Also, I surprised myself by quite liking the Sweetens Cove. All in all, a good time was had by all.
Anwalt
Had the ECBP A120 again today, I really, really like it. Flavor bomb. Drinks well below its proof. Nice to swish around and savor. So what if can't feel my gums? Compared to a 9y private of similar proof. The latter was very good, really better than I expected. But flat and one-dimensional, lack oak compared to A120. Tried a 125 proof 10y, seemed flat and lifeless compared to the other two. Am I becoming a proof hound?
Richnimrod
Opened up a 'new' bottle of Early Times BIB. Not 'new' exactly, because I bought quite a few back when they first came out, thinking it was too good to be true... or something. It's a few years old; but, had been unopened 'til today. Didn't disappoint!

Anwalt
Had a buddy who drinks almost no alcohol stop by while on vacation in PR. Figured low proof and easy drinkers. So W12 and Blanton's Red. He liked both quite a lot, success.
