THX for the warning order.  I am in the mood for picking up rarities I can drool over and in.  UGH! WHAT A THOUGHT!!

I've gotten really picky about my shopping list - OGD BIB, VOB BIB and 86 if I see them,  HH 100 7 yr at or about MSRP.

The RR will fit that profile.

I guess I wasn't paying attention. At first I thought the RR15 was a supplemental release, but according to the press release it sounds like it will replace RR13, assuming only temporarily.  That's disappointing to me.  It's hard to beat 13 yrs as the approximate ideal age for turkey.

Thanks Joe. I guess my head has been in the sand. I doubt I will locate one though. I have yet to find a RR13 in my area. Always same story, “we only got one bottle”

I wonder if the stores think we actually believe that story. 😄😄😄

Having said all of that, I will be on the lookout for the 15yr. Thanks again Joe.

Cheers

Tried this at the distillery this week, it was really great. They said as of now it is intended to be a one off, but the 13 is an annual release that will return next year.

Mind if I'm nosey and ask you what that pour set you back?  I have every reason to believe I will not see a bottle of 13 or 15 without a generous helping of dumb luck.  One local liquor store had a lottery with a chance at one of 5 bottles of RR15 for retail, but I didn't have the golden ticket.  I almost paid $36 for a 2 ounce pour of 13 at a restaurant last week, but it was 10 o'clock on Sunday morning, and the mood just wasn't right for bourbon.

Oh, and by the way, is the new Wild Turkey visitor's center open yet?

New? They opened a new one within the past 10 years.

Sorry, I phrased that incorrectly.  I meant the revamped Visitor's Center.  I guess it reopened on May 24 of this year.

If I remember correctly it was $45 for 1.5oz but came in a rocks glass with Wild Turkey etched on it that you got to keep. Like you, I doubt I’ll find a bottle and wanted to try it. It doesn’t appear to have gone out to stores/bars in KY so didn’t see it on  any bars about the state.

I believe i read that WT has infamously had their newish visitor's center closed for remodeling for like a whole year or more? Glad to hear it's open again.
