Seems like a fine time to have a "wee dram" of RR15 in a glencairn from my favorite liquor store in Collinsville, IL. Still wonderful dark color, magnificent nose, a huge pop on the palate of cinnamon, chocolate and caramel with a great mouthfeel, and long, long finish. What a delighful dram to start off the evening. Yummo! Good stuff, thanks for the comments. Happy to serve as storm breaker, keeping Beantown wet but safe.

Jazzhead
Tonight I'm listening to Eric Dolphy and sipping a "Peneleporemus", my blend of Penelope MGP-distilled corn whiskey with the recent Remus "highest rye" expression. The result is an MGP blend that's better than the sum of its rather eccentric parts.
MM818
Thursday night enjoyment. Front Porch Batch. The usual Bookers suspects: vanilla, cinnamon and peanuts. Delightful!

IamMatt
Spent last week in Bardstown and surrounds. Visited Wild Turkey and had this pour, which includes the souvenir glass. I told my wife I bought a $45 dollar glass and the whiskey was included free.

I’m still waiting for a bottle to present itself for purchase. In the interim, I’ve heard everything from it’s over oaked to it’s the best whiskey some have ever had. Where do you land?
smokinjoe
So, sipping on a 4R Single Barrel on this Friday. It’s an RN. After the week I’ve had, I might even welcome nurse Ratched as an elixir….

Wedelstaedt
Earlier in the evening, I was partaking in FRyeDay, very fun. Back to bourbon. RRSRH CNF in my glass. This is what bourbon is supposed to be. Man, i love this bottle. For all of you members of the flock, I hope you have been able to experience a pour from this bottle. Cheers. It was a very good whiskey but I don't think I would pay $300-plus for it.

Thomm
Brewers beat the Cleveland Cartoon Comic Book Characters again tonight, and the KC 12 made it all the more enjoyable. My lovely wife went to bed early when I began to sing "Have I told you lately that I love you?" to the bottle.

That reminds me of the time my wife reacted similarly to me singing along with my go to whiskey song
fishnbowljoe
Been working on this one for quite a while now. This handle was Intended for a member at our get together in Bardstown back in 2019, but that didn’t work out. One thing lead to another. Shoulder surgery, Covid, etc… Anyway, samples have been shared, a couple of informal tastings, shared at the Legion on the deck with cigars, etc… Not great, but doesn’t suck. Fairly serviceable at 80 proof. Biba!
Anwalt
Travelling with the little bottles. Tried the JB "Boston" for the first time. Delicious. More flavors than I knew what to do with. I really, really like everything "Hardin's Creek" that I've tried (only the 15-17 year stuff, haven't tried the 2 year or the new 10/11 year). A little pricey, but not much secondary for them, good. Throw in the KC12 and Old Overholt CS 10y Rye, and Beam is really hitting it for me.
