Ok, I listened to this since high school and I have to say that I coined my own phrase... Chevy - Crap - Heavier - Every -Year !!! One thing about Ford - it will start. You may be stuck in the hood, but it will start. Could break down a mile down the road, but you are out of the hood. Chevy - you have to hope the hood rats say nice car man. It has the six speed AT. It gets 40mpg. My first Japanese car ever (assembled in Mexico). Interesting. I like Toyotas. We have a 2013 RAV4 with around 80,000 miles on it. The gas mileage is outstanding! I hope you enjoy your Toyota as much as we have enjoyed ours.
mbroo5880i
We went to dinner with my two sons and DIL tonight. We had a great dinner and a few cocktails. Well, they had cocktails. I had two generous pours of WTR101 priced at $10 each. Yes, please. Home now with a nice pour of OGD114 to soothe my aching muscles from finishing up pressure washing the house and deck. I even started staining the deck by staining the railings. Tomorrow, I will tackle the deck. I want to get everything done so I can rest up on "Labor Day." Yes, I am watching a Hallmark movie. Everyone enjoy their Saturday evening.

markandrex
I finished off last night with a really nice pour of GTS after taking in a ballgame at the local ballpark. smokinjoe
Wasn’t planning on it, but a little celebratory pour from the 4R Yella Lable freezer bottle. The thunderstorm held off until about 2 minutes after the pork butt got to temp on the WSM, and I pulled it. It’s wrapped and resting, and so am I!
MyBrainOnWhiskey
Today I purchased a well cared-for 2020 Toyota Highlander and am celebrating with a pour of KC18. I haven't had a car of my own since 2015, so it'll be fun. I still plan to ride more annual miles on my bicycles than I will drive in the car, but it's still pretty cool to once again have a car . Good thing I have plenty of whiskey stashed away because my bourbon budget just got a major haircut!

Unfortunately the cork broke on me ... likely because the bottle has been sitting around untouched for several months, maybe even a year (...see above...sigh ... I definitely need to drink from my big gun bottles more often). I didn't want to deal with the inevitable decanting process tonight so I wrapped the Al Young top tight with parafilm for now and I'll deal with that cork situation tomorrow. ... Follow up post ...broken cork successfully removed and liquid decanted back to the original bottle. I even found 2 corks that fit perfectly - now I just have to decide between the red or the black cork! Now it's time for a pour to celebrate the fruits of my labor. Happy Labor Day to me!
Kepler
Bulleit bourbon PS barrel pick from Lincoln Rd Package store. As usual, Bulleit bourbon is a great follow-up pour to any LE Four Roses. "Obviously" you may say .. because it has 4R distillate in it. Bulleit single barrel store picks are among the more underrated bottles out there. Also, Bulleit 10 year is another underrated pour. MyBrainOnWhiskey
Barrell Bourbon cask strength Batch 032. Smells and tastes just like cinnamon red hots without being "hot" on the palate. Behind that is some vanilla and caramel, oak, and banana. Cheers!

mbroo5880i
The last two weeks at work have been the busiest two weeks over the last 20 years. So what's a guy to do over a 4-day weekend? Pressure wash the house, stain the deck, cut the grass, major weedeating, and pressure wash the street in front of my house. Time to go back to work tomorrow. The weather in central Indiana has been stellar the last two days so Pappy be pushing it while he can. Actually, they are talking about lows in the upper 40s next weekend. I might have to start wearing underwear again now that summer is over. But, not before two solid pours of WTRB tonight to soothe my aching muscles and pysche.
