meadeweber
Had a pour of W12 from an older bottle followed by WT MK Cornerstone Rye. The rye flavor was really intense after drinking the Weller.

My favorite was the ‘88 WT CGF. Second was Noah’s Mill 15y from ‘05.

Richnimrod
I'm finishing off that low-fill bottle of Bowman Bros. I mentioned a couple times lately. It gives me some satisfaction to kill an 'old' one off . . . finally. It's been a while since I poured the last drops from a bottle. This one will be dying along with a few big cubes slowly melting after some fairly hot work on the lawn. It amounts to one BIG pour and lot of ice, which is perfect for the occasion. I have a replacement waiting; but, I may open something else instead. We'll see, eh?
MyBrainOnWhiskey
I'm sippin' on some OF1920 this evening after work. I like 1920, but it's nothing I ever crave. (For me) the nose is the best part of the 1920 experience. The palate (by comparison) is slightly disappointing, and the finish is middle-of-the-road. In that $50-$60 range there are other shelf bottles I strongly prefer, so this is my last bottle of 1920 for the foreseeable future.

Besides, my “Weller Cellar” ain’t near as full as it once was. I gotta spread things around a bit so the cellar don’t run dry.

Hard to believe I’ve been a member here since 2008, and a moderator since 2009. It’s been fun. As I've said in the past when talking about SB, “Good people, good times and good bourbon.” Cheers @Kepler!

smokinjoe
I picked up another bottle of an RN FRSB and sipping it now over a clear cube. It sure feels like Fall here, today. Overcast, cool, and breezy. I have this tree off the front patio that is a messy menace for like 10 months out of the year, but is an early dropper of beautiful fall colored leaves. It’s the only reason I don’t cut it down…Using the leaves as a coaster for my glass…So, I guess I now have 2 reasons to keep it…

Good Luck." He just laughs because he knows that I am salaried and that is the man's way of screwing me over.
smokinjoe
I typically only buy WRDO for cocktail usage, because the sweet caramellynotes do very well in several of them. However this local has done a couple that I do enjoy sipping over a cube. This latest is superb. Double Oaked and Toasted Barrel bourbons tend to be too marshmallowy and sweet for my tastes by themselves, but I find that the pickers here, share my preference for more balance, less sweet, and more oakiness rather than sugar. Enjoying this very much over a cube, this afternoon.
mbroo5880i
I spent the day helping my oldest son stain his deck. It wasn't so much about helping him stain his deck but more about spending time together. Relaxing with a nice pour of WTR101 followed by a nice pour of Jefferson's Ocean SiB which is around 118 proof while....watching the Hallmark movie. Well, surfing the net and texting friends while my wife thinks I am watching the Hallmark movie.
