Trying to identify what year an Old Forester bottle is

I recently found an Old Forester bottle in Germany as a gift for my husband and have not been able to find any information on it.   If anyone recognizes it by chance, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Right off the bat, I was going to say 1990s.  I believe that style of paper label, they discontinued around 2000 or so.

Seeing the "96" on the bottom of the bottle, good chance it was made in 1996.

 

Old Forester 86 proof is still in production.  It's a good basic Bourbon.  I believe it's the house whiskey at the Delta Airlines Sky Lounge.
