LOL - that's a classic story of government ineptitude.

If MI privatized the wholesale and distribution chain this problem would be rectified overnight

The 62,000 lost bottles only had an average per bottle cost of $15, so it's not like they "lost" the good stuff

Truth be told, the State of Michigan has zero idea what was lost!   So neither do we.   Coulda been a bunch of wonderful limited edition stuph; but, probably not.   Those LE's don't "go unaccounted for", though they certainly do disappear sometimes. HA!

The Michigan Liquor Control Commission has never been worth the piss it would take to douse 'em if they caught fire, IMO.   It just comes to light infrequently.   When the light does shine on 'em once in a while, they all run for cover like the bunch of bureaucratic cockroaches they are.    Yet the powers that be won't do away with this anachronistic institution.   ...Even though it accomplishes . . . Zero!  ...And, costs a BUNCH!
