I wish, it’s one unicorn per person, and there’s a second list of inventory that needs to be moved and you have to one of those also, I picked a MM barrel selection (once the private barrels are gone, the quality of the second group guys down pretty fast) All the PVW/BTAC/FR are reserved for an auction where the ticket sales go to charity Everything is sold at MSRP or maybe within 5%. I think it’s an equitable way to do it, and lots of people get a bottle and the store can clear out some hard to move stuff and make a nice donation to a charity. You say it's from 2018 but per my understanding the TTB did not approve 70mL size bottles in the US until 2020. I think I read 70 cl on that bottle. How can that be? ... import? I never purchased one of those WR special releases so I don't have an old bottle to check. I have seen the new square Batch Proof bottles in the store and I know they are all 70 cL/700mL. I had not noticed the size on the bottle but you are correct. I will have to check against a few others I have in the bar. Looking on line, I did not find an import/export anywhere online but the proof listing is from 2018.

JT3NSB
on the lookout for OGD 16 and went all around PHX today. saw all sorts of stuff. but picked up a JM Cigar Blend which are sitting in all the total wines at retail. and found a funky Cstore in a weird area that had a solid museum (JD 12 899) but they had a random leftover Dickel 17 at 149.. odd but thank you, that will go home with me….

Thomm
Right after this photo op, we went straight to the fancy decanter, after which we traveled into the nearest drinking vessel. Currently being enjoyed by the mouth en route to the liver. I will definitely be going back for a few more of these. I had originally balked at the $59.99 price tag, but my taste buddies are now screaming at me to crack the dusty wallet and live a little. Taste buddies are never wrong.

If it helps any, I do remember seeing these listed on euro sites back then. Woodford sold the batch proof and yearly LE's in Europe in 70cl. The U.S. size for both (BP and LE) was 750ml before the bottle changed a few years back to the new and arguably uglier bottle. Brown Forman has been slowly making 700ml standard across the board for several of their Woodford and Jack products citing ease of worldwide distribution as the reason. Those early batch proof Woodfords are just fantastic IMO. I have not tried any of the recent offerings, after the price went above $125/bottle. Enjoy!

The bottle size discrepancy aside, I have both of this years WR Batch Proofs, but I have yet to have a pour of either. Long story here. I’ve mentioned before that we have a member of our local bourbon/beer/cigar group that is very gracious. He’s been friends with @JerseyDon for 50 years or so. He shares his purchases without hesitation. More so with Don because of their long friendship. As of late, I’ve benefited from his generosity too. Earlier this year he had bottles of both of this years WR batch proof. He gave me one bottle and Don the other. We split them. I shared a nice sample of one with @Galvin0791, and I have a sample of the other now ready to go for him. Might be about time to give ‘em a try.

JakeySnakes
Picked up another bottle of JW Dant yesterday. Opened it, and had a couple pours last night. I've said it before and I'll say it again...it's pretty incredible I can get a 1L bottle of this for under $20.
