Mules had brought booze from CA and ID, so no transport capacity. That's an excellent price for it!
markandrex
A 24A (for Thanksgiving in Atlanta) and the OGD16 for home. The Stagg was one of the last from their shipment and $69.99, OGD was $129.99 and yes there were doughnuts involved.
LW25
Maybe the question should be "What didn't you purchase this fall?" haha. Went a little crazy on a 3 day trip to TX last weekend. Almost all of this came from Specs and Total Wine, mostly bottles that we don't get in my neck of the woods (Smoke Wagon, Ironroot, RE CS) or that I missed the release of (WT 70th, Maker's Heart). Made a package deal with one store for the RR15, JD12, and a CYPB (that I traded to a buddy for the M10). I may not walk into another liquor store (read: risk divorce) till June. Cheers to the weekend! Going to crack open the High West rum finished first I think... Edited November 15, 2024 by LW25
smokinjoe
Finally saw the Jimmy Russell 70th today, and scooped it up immediately. Brought back memories of getting my first Tribute 50th from 20 years ago. If it’s half as good as that whiskey, it will be spectacular. I look forward to cracking it open later tonight!

Let your wife buy a few new pairs of shoes and call it even.

Booker's was the first BP that I ever tried and used to be a regular in my rotation until Beam got greedy and jacked up the price. I was still buying the occasional bottle at $80.00, but stopped after that. I love it, but won't pay the $139.99 - $199.99 that they charge for it at most places where I've seen it in MD. I bought this one in a state store in PA. I'm looking forward to cracking this one!

Double C's
just got this via a "mule" from Kentucky, and I also picked up a Weller special reserve a few days ago since it was a fair price based on today's market. The days of $18 WSR are long gone.
markandrex
I’ve decided to limit my bourbon shopping to day I have a doctors appointment. Fortunately I’m getting older and they are more numerous! Today’s haul.

MM818
I’m sure I tatered all over myself yesterday when I picked this bottle up. Figured I like Michters in that 90 proof range so took a flyer.

mbroo5880i
This week's purchases include ECBP C924 and Larceny BP B524, one at MSRP and one below MSRP. I am a Cheap Bastard after all. Heading across town tomorrow. Who knows what I might pick up?

I also "tatered all over myself" (Lol, funny phrase) a couple years ago when I picked up the Bomberger's (the sister bottle to your Shenk's). I didn't know much about it at the time but my trusted local store whiskey salesperson that gets me most of my allocations assured me that I needed to grab it as msrp ... so I did. I still haven't gotten around to opening mine yet, but I've heard enough good things about it since then that I don't regret buying it one bit. Enjoy! Very very scarce around here unless you pay $299.
