NDN98
I said goodbye to this one tonight. While I enjoyed the bottle, I honestly didn’t find it any better than most of the Russell‘s Reserve Private Select’s that I’ve had. This is one I probably will not buy again, considering the price tag compared to the private barrels.

So it seems you’d be content with saving the money and going with a few bottles of the select. I came to the same conclusion with Woodford Reserve Double Double Oaked. I could buy no less than 2 store pick of the double oaked and still have money left over

I had nearly forgotten that I still had it; was in the back of the bunker for a long time. It was really quite flavorful, more than I had recalled. When it was released, it was the focus of a somewhat hokey marketing effort, thus the "aged in Stitzel-Weller Barrels" label.
VWIndy
If I recall correctly, this was older barrels of Stitzler weller juice that Seagrams bought to mix in their Seagrams seven back in the 80’s. It was “found” in a warehouse that Jefferson’s bought and they marketed very carefully to not cross any legal lines. It was great sourced juice and gave a jump start to Jefferson’s early on. Enjoy and Cheers
