smokinjoe
Well, tomorrow is Conco de Mayo, and the beginning of hotter weather and Mexican beer drinking. I like the gulpability of an ice cold Corona after yard work, or other hot chores. I’ll also go with Estrella Jalisco, Pacifico, Modelo, and Dos Equis, but the first two are my stalwarts.
Thomm
An appropriate reward for laying 20 rolls of sod on a hill while listening to the hometown 9 avoid a sweep by the Cubs this afternoon. Hoppy, but not a grapefruit bomb. This is right up my alley when porters and stouts are too heavy for the mood.

Fear not, it’s the first week of May. The Cubs will find their form. Completely Useless By September (cubs)
flahute
Yesterday at Total Wine while shopping for my mint julep supplies and my first Asahi Dry of the year I noticed some Belgian singles for sale. I haven’t had Duvel in years so I snagged one. Man this is great.

I became a Leinie fan after that for a few years but I've drifted away from them over time. They seemed to have changed a lot and gone a bit "corporate" compared to how they were when I was there (no surprise, ...as with everything else these days). I'm not even sure that it's still made in Chippewa Falls anymore but I hope so? Their standard original was my favorite back then. My favorite craft beer, before Miller bought them anyhow. 1 hour ago, Kepler said:

Clueby
Pulled this one out of the basement. Man it aged NICELY! It was bottled in December of 2016. Was cold aged in a basement fridge.
Kepler
This probably should be posted in an Off-Topic forum, but screw it. RIP to one of the greatest beer drinkers of all time. A key character in my favorite sitcom ever. After I learned of his passing earlier tonight, I googled some videos of him in Cheers. Great stuff! BTW, this is the perfect place to put this!

flahute
Had lunch at a pub yesterday and washed down my burger with a Russian River Happy Hops IPA. Despite my recent trend towards lighter beers I will still never pass on a chance to have any IPA from RR. They just hit different.
MM818
Happy Memorial Day weekend. Hats off to our heroes. Truly a pivotal day on the calendar. Three of my favorite places to drink beer. Nor Cal, SD, and Seattle. Going to start off with the Velvet Glow. As mentioned above rest in peace Norm. I put some quotes I found in the NYT obit. Norm: “It’s my birthday, Sammy. Give me a beer, stick a candle in it and I’ll blow out my liver.” Norm: “Well it’s a dog-eat-dog world, Sammy, and I’m wearing Milk Bone underwear.”
0895
Drank quite a bit of this delicious stuff the past couple weeks while on vacation. The only whiskey options available were basically Jameson and Jack. Nothing against either of those but the beer was a much better value for the money everywhere we went.

rzelinka
I had a beer from the O’Fallon brewery today called Wheach. It’s a wheat beer with peach influence as you may have guessed. Refreshing on a very hot day

smokinjoe
I have to admit, that I’m pretty sure I’ve neither had, nor even seen, a Korean brewed beer. So, I just had to pick up a six pack of this yesterday, while perusing the beer cooler at the monger. Not a thing wrong with it. Nice, drinker. The weather is mostly agreeable, people are helpful, friendly, the cost of living is good. But sometimes, I feel like I’m missing out on some minor, but tasty exceptions. Such as the variety of beer choices in other states , such as yours Joe. Enjoy. Cheers
