I’ve never thought of that beer as a thirst quencher. But, I see it now. Good call 👍

I will give it a try.

Cheers

I only learned it from @flahute

Glad I did! 🍻

This reminds me of my father. He had a fridge in the garage full of beer and some soft drinks.  I was middle school aged and one day I was pounding Pepsi’s in the Texas heat. I was probably annoying him with my lack of production in helping him in the yard. He glared at me and said, “if you want to quench your thirst drink a beer goddammit!” So I have been since that day 30+ years ago. And I used to drink that fridge dry and have my own fridge full of beer to this day. 😂

Tonight I drank a Maine Beer Company Lunch IPA and a Deschutes Hazy on a little east coast holiday.

For me, the “right” beer can definitely quench my thirst.  Unlike other liquids though, it is a one bottle/can kinda thing for me. After one beer, it tends to make me thirsty again. 🤷‍♂️

Cheers

Just a bit o yard work today, so I’m finished early.  Sittin’ out front smelling the magnolias that flowered for me, with some tunes on, and a Deschutes Fresh Squeezed IPA.  Great balanced IPA.  And, here I thought that Black Butte Porter is all I needed from this brewery!!  😃

Magnolias are beautiful trees. But raking leaves in the summer, is punishing.  If you’ve been doing that, you deserve 2 cold ones 👍

Ha!  I’m lucky that all of my magnolias are on the perimeter of my yard, which  I have in a natural state, as it is up against the main road and 2 fences.  So the leaves primarily fall on the pinestraw.  The big one, though, does throw some l leaves on my back yard grass…. All of the magnolias back there are “Wild”, as I didn’t plant them.  They just popped up.  I’m guessing that they came from my neighbor behind me, as he has 2 massive ones in his front yard, which is just beyond my back yard.

The big one on my yard started as a 6”high stick on the ground with 1 leaf.  She’s now over 40’, and very beautiful.

Two of my favorite things. Session IPAs(for safety) and surfing.

I’ve been carrying this beer around for a week. Finally got around to popping it. Excellent easy drinking beer out of Maine.

I just finished a Saint Arnold's "Art Car IPA" while sitting in the back patio watching the dogs play.

I'm not the biggest IPA fan (some I enjoy, some I don't) but this Art Car IPA is a nice one, like everything Saint Arnold's makes.  I believe Saint Arnold's is probably still only distributed in Texas and Louisiana, but if anybody passes through here, you should give them a try because all they make is quality beer.

This is as good as it gets. NW IPA that is crushable yet full bodied.
