Kepler
Had to follow up the HW Midwinter with a similar pour: Sagamore Port. Also excellent. Big fan.

The last release of the great stuff. I bet that is tasting mighty fine!

Here in MO, we waste gas all year driving 4x4's, just hoping and waiting for those 1-2 days per year we get to engage that lever.

Wedelstaedt
We are at the end of a stretch of cold weather. Here we are at FRyeDay. So…… Sagamore Port Finish it is. Very good. It will deserve another sip. Happy FRyeDay SB’rs

True -- I think there's a law here that all males over 40 are required to drive a 4x4 pickup truck. I feel compelled to comply with said rule. I fit into that category, but smartly realized I was done helping people move their junk at my advanced age, thus went SUV.

The key is going out and finding non-obvious reasons to engage the lever. Like mud, sand, curbs, I don’t know maybe even leave the four lane and cross over to the access road once in a while. Just takes a little imagination and some . Cheers

Cheers I only engage the knob, (no levers anymore), at the farm during hunting seasons. At this point, if the weather is shitty enough to have to use 4WD, I'm staying in...
Kepler
Call me crazy but I'm being a rebel and posting a straight bourbon in the Rye thread. That's because I'm sipping from this bottle and honestly it drinks more like a straight rye, with all this minty, spicy goodness. At 57.1% abv it's hitting me just like a Kentucky Rye. It's real and it's spectacular, lol. Happy HighFRYEday !?!

All joking aside, it is interesting/funny how sometimes a “high rye” Bourbon can emulate a Rye Whiskey more the a “legal” Rye Whiskey. Sounds like that is what you have on your hands there. mbroo5880i
Killed off a bottle of WTRB Rye that I picked up on clearance for $45 a few weeks ago. I am a f'kng optimist. I plan to return to the store tomorrow to see if any more bottles are left. This store is odd. Often bottles are sitting in places on the shelf unrelated to the product. I will be like one of those ocean scavengers searching for a hidden treasure.
