What bottle did you open in 2025 ?

initial thoughts are positive on this, especially for a $40 cigar blend bottle. It doesn't feel like it drinks like a 101pf. The finishes seem to round it off with a nice fruity sweetness.

I was very fortunate to walk into a local Spec's last summer and they had this one right there for the taking. I snagged it and I must say it's one of the best bourbons in my collection

Through a glitch in the matrix, I was somehow able to switch my economy flight this week to an earlier departure first class seat for $1.13.

I celebrated beating the system by asking the nice flight attendant for a Buffalo Trace “to go”.

Opened and enjoying it tonight.

Good Stuff!

It's been a fabulous first quarter of 2025. So much so my wife has put me on a budget for April (Tax Bill). Thus far, I've picked up:

Weller 107

Old Forrester Single Barrel - Barrel Strength

Penelope Rio

Thirteneeth Colony Maple Spirals

Copper & Cask Double Oaked

Lucky Seven - The Proprietor

Yellowstone Special Edition

Eyeing up the following and would value some thoughts on them from those who have sampled or bought them:

Weller Full Proof

Weller 12 year

Old Forester 1924

Knob Creek 18 year

Elijah Craig 18 year

I don't care how good or bad the Redbirds are in a particular year, I will always celebrate with you when they get swept!  Let's go Mets!

Just cracked one of my absolute favorites this evening, in honor of this month's SB Bottle of The Month.  Great choice.

All this EH Taylor talk has reminded me that I didn't have a bottle of the regular Small Batch open.  And to my point in another thread regarding price, I paid $33.99 for this bottle in 2018.  This one tastes like what it is: an elevated tasting experience over the regular BT bourbon and bottled at 100 proof.  The flavor still shows that familiar  tie to the great Old Charters of yesteryear.  An excellent example of a true classic bourbon.  Cheers! 🥃🦬
