0895
Went out for dinner last night and noticed the restaurant had a BT pick listed on the menu. 2 glasses later and this followed me home.

I've tasted more than a few BT private pix, and most were at-or-above the mark set by the ordinary shelf stock (not an insignificant achievement IMHO). I have also had (and owned 2) that surpass that standard by a noticeable margin. THose a wonderful pours! I actually just pulled down (from the deep-storage area) a 'handle' I bought from a pick I helped choose about 14-years ago. Now, that barrel was absolutely stellar! After I kill off 2-or-3-low-fill bottles in the current rotation, That's gonna be a regular pour. I figured; I ain't gettin' any younger, and tomorrow still isn't guaranteed, so I better start drinkin' some of the really nice pours I have stashed. I deserve it! ...Or maybe I don't; but, HEY! I'm gonna drink 'em anyway! Heee-Heeeeeeeee!
VWIndy
With all of the praise for the Still Austin products, I bought a cask strength bourbon today from Total Wine. Not a big fan of TW, but they have the best selection of Still Austin in Indianapolis. Cheers

I currently have open a 101.2 proof bottle that is one of the best bourbons I've ever had; just lights out delicious. I don't know the barrel or bottle date as I lost the hang tag (or it didn't come with one), but I'd bet it's more than 15 years old. I've been getting these for $55 at K&L. I'm curious what they sell for at the gift shop...
ebo
I went to the closest store to replace my bottles of OF 100 and Rye 100. These were on the counter when I was checking out. They came home with me. Edited 15 hours ago by ebo

It is not totally void of the Flintstone vitamin flav but has enough so you know it is still a Dickel. Not that there is anything wrong with the vitamin flav.

When the mood strikes me, I like the vitamin flavor..it scratches an itch that no other whiskey can.
