What bourbon did you purchase this spring season of 2025?

Pickd up these today. Haven't had the OE 7yr for several yrs since the price went from 40ish$ to almost 80$. Opened it up at the LQ store and shared with the owner and his beer rep.  We both were really pleased with it, the beer rep, I think he is more of a beer guy, but he drank it.

As for the Lux Row Dbl SiB Four Grain, the LQ store owner said he like it at 80$. So at 49.99$ the price was right for picking one up and giving it a spin myself.

The BiB. Always a good one. Would love to find a single barrel.

Nice. I like the SiB as well.

I've been wanting the 8yr myself but only found 1, well 3 all at the same store, at 95$. I'll wait until I can get it closer to MSRP.

$95 is just wrong.

Been looking for these and finally found a couple.  I think MSRP is $59.99.

I paid $64.00, so my cheap-ass is only slightly chafed. I'd just assume that they ditch the cute sack, and charge less.

I haven’t been much of a buyer of this since the rebranding.  Maybe, 2 bottles, total?  Perhaps my disinterest has been due to it’s higher price over the 6 year that was mostly $12 when I was buying regularly.  Perhaps, I have a good bunker full of those 6 years.  Perhaps, it was a GBS sponsored SBS between old and new, where at that time there was not much distinguishing the two, and the group pretty much had them equal in preferences.  Perhaps, other HH products have been catching my fancy.

Whatever it has been, I felt that today would be the day to pick one up.  And, do I did.

Today was our quarterly state ABC drop.

The last time I got a Weller 107 about a year ago, it was $40ish. Today it was $58.99. The old Fitz was $59.99. Today was a work in the garden beer day so I'll try the old Fitz tomorrow.

But what would the taters think about that?   In my neck of the woods, they are more excited about scoring a bottle that comes with the green velvet bag, than what it tastes like.  Evidently not all bottles come with the bag (only so many bags are included in a case lot), so it has become a sport amongst the taters to chase the velvet bag.  🤷‍♂️

Bwahahaha!

It's almost embarrassing to buy whiskey with those little bags or boxes.

I tried a couple pours last night.

It's pretty damn good. Not $64.00 good, but good.  I prefer the HH BiB,  both the 6 & 7 year versions, over this.  I'll revisit this one later.

That said, I won't be running out to replace them when they're gone, unless they come to their senses and drop the price.

We all know that ain't gonna happen!

We need to get them hooked on Crown Royal, they might lose their minds...all those different colors!

Gotta keep this one on the bar.

It's one of my favorite Beam expressions.

Me, too.  Luckily, I travel to our company’s plant in South Carolina, so I can pick it up there.  Never seen it here, in Georgia.
Its heavy, juicy, prototypical, Beam notes remind me of the Beam Bonded from several years back.  BB still remains one of my favorite all-time Beam expressions.  This is right there with it.

Around here, the stores have to keep the flavored CR locked up in the glass cabinet.  🤣

Saw a bottle of the Old Ezra 7 BS going for $79.99 today. Is this a ripoff or what?

Sounds like a good title for a documentary.

It’s 3 with & 3 without per 6 pack, kinda the same as Blanton’s.

I don’t specifically chase bags, but when I was picking my Old Fitz up, the price was the same with or without…. So  I figured Im taking the stupid bag since I paid for it.

It's a ripoff all right but, that's what it's going for in my area at stores that don't mark up.  Needless to say, it's been a long time since I bought one..

When HH BiB 7yr.  got to Calif., I bought a bottle and a friend and I did a sbs with the 6yr (a bottle I traded a OE BP 7yr for) and EW BiB.  The 6yr was the winner followed closely by the 7yr and the EW.  Needless to say, at the current price, I haven't bought another but I've bought multiples of the EW.

Might as well.

I use a Blanton's bag to hold tees in my golf bag....

Years ago, you could get Bulleit in these bags.  It didn't cost any extra and regular ol' Bulleit has never been tater-bait.   It's used to crush ice and works really well.

Hey if it's there I'd chose one too.  But like you, I'm not going out of my way to look for one.
