bayouredd
Dug into a leftover from last 'early fall' freezer pour of 'what I think' is VOB 90. Punched me in the face at 1st, but mellowed out w/ definite Barton notes. (the punch surprised me, so not guaranteed on what it actually was) Moved on to, 'What I am positive of' Frank's rendition of GW4G. Always a 'good un'... P.S. I know that I used my allotment of single quotes, but so what, I'm pretty mellow...
Thomm
OGD 114 all week. I haven't felt the need to switch it up yet. It pairs quite well with a cranberry orange muffin, too. What can I say, I'm a simple guy.

It also wants me want to try one of those Terry's Orange chocolate balls with it.

GaryT
Rewarding myself after cleaning out (most) of the garage with a nice pour of some SB Blend. If I recall, this is 60/40 heavy on the OWA. Just delightful!

Country, my mission of cleaning out our garage is like…15 years going… Perhaps, with your guidance, I’ll set a reward of an SB Blend as my motivator to get ‘er done!!! . Cuz, I’m not near “most” of the way there.

MSB
As stated in another thread, I was at a going away party for a coworker. I was told via the invite that if you don't like cheap booze, bring your own. So I took 1783 and OGD bib. I am classy that way. So I had a couple small pours of the 1783 and a small "sip" of the OGD. Great party, great food (BBQ and sides) and wonderful peeps. All in a beautiful setting. Weather was here, wish you were good!

If they didn't realize that you brought cheap, then they don't know the difference between cheap & good... P.S. If that reference was Jimmy Buffet (Weather was here, wish you were good!), Bonus Points...
fosmith
I was at a party yesterday that had an open bar. On the back shelf was a bottle of Knob Creek 18yr so I had a small pour. I had never tried it but have heard many say that it's over oaked. Well, not to my palate. Yes, it's oaky but, it's sweet oak without any bitterness or astringency. Absolutely delicious! K&L has it in stock for $160 and, I have to say, I'm sorely tempted to pull the trigger. BTW, they also had Evan Williams 18 yr which I also tried. It paled in comparison to the KC. To my palate, it was over oaked with a noticeably astringent and drying finish.

Was going good until I went to put up some wall cabinets and ran into a stud that stuck out about 1/2" more than the rest of the wall. It's never a quick project and usually requires alcohol to get through it.

Schmit tagging along. That one my fav. I did, however spend a big part of my youth scuba diving and pulling a FL Keys annual dive trip. You can hardly hate Jimmy if that's the case. Also, he is kin to my Wife's family. My kids call him Cousin Jimmy, but it's just for bragging rights. P.S. To stay on topic; having another Bulleit BiB. This stuff is good...
