That's still the best Booker's bourbon I've ever tasted. But I missed scoring my own bottle of that one back then by about a month. (Timing is everything in life, lol). That Four Roses story of the mutant yeast as shared with the public by Jim Rutledge is perhaps my favorite story in recent bourbon history. It would not have been blind had I seen them first as the 8 year is darker. Plus a new one from Glenns Creek. the Cuervito vivo which they can't use anymore due to a cease and desist from Jose Cuervo, whatever....the bottling is distillate formulated in conjunction with Bob Robinson former Old Crow plant superintendent to get as close as they could to the OC distilled on that site many years prior. According to Bourbon Joe, it is good but "it ain't Old Crow". I wouldn't know, but I can say it is good.
