Still need to get the proportions right, but this combination has promise. I prefer Garrison Brothers over Still Austin. That aside, the infinity mixture is intriguing

That aside, the infinity mixture is intriguing Can't really say I'm a fan of Garrison Brothers,. The last bottle I had was very slow going. I even had trouble blending it to my taste. The Still Austin/Uncle Nearest blend is mainly about salvaging the Uncle Nearest, which reeks of youthful Dickel and needs some of the rye heft of the SA.
rzelinka
I have the Still Austin Cask Strength store pick from Total Wine, it was so so. Could be the variety. Uncle Nearest was recommended to me, maybe I try a sample first which won't be hard to find locally. Thank you for the feedback

Clueby Posted yesterday at 01:07 AM Share Posted yesterday at 01:07 AM We celebrated our 32nd wedding anniversary today. I took the day off and we went back to the carousel where we got married. That's the same horse. Hung out with our grandson and daughter at the Butterfly House, then had a nice Jamaican cafe dinner. Capped it off with some roses. Was a nice day. Glad I'll be working from home tomorrow!

markandrex Posted yesterday at 02:04 AM Share Posted yesterday at 02:04 AM We are celebrating, reached an agreement on a place here. Perfect house on a much smaller (.25 acre) lot. PVW15 for the win! If all inspections go well, we close on 7/3.

Anwalt Posted yesterday at 01:30 PM Share Posted yesterday at 01:30 PM Had a sampler of Old Charter Oak French at the airport yesterday. Of all the lower proof BT products, that one is increasingly my favorite. I like the age & oak.

Hey, I'm celebrating with JW Dant, Pacers 111 win over OKC 110. Had to be seen to be believed. Pacers were behind the whole game until the last .3 of a second and won by 1 point. It was at OKC with a really loud crowd too. Now the Thunder and their fans have several days to think about it.

We passed on another property after reading his inspection report of 96 pages.
markandrex
Pouring rain here with storms all weekend. Grabbing a pour of Old Fitz 17 tonight. We are going to start going through the “clutter” and getting rid of a lot of accumulated stuff in preparation of the move. If it all falls apart, the stuff still needs to go. Less is more. Cheers!

I’ll be interested in hearing your bourbon moving strategy. Movers I’ve used in past wouldn’t touch my collection.

I agree. You need to get rid of some of those excess LE bottles you acquired in exchange for all those donut favors. I am here for you

Sorry to hear about the rain. Good call on the Old Fitzgerald. Have you compared the Old Fitzgerald 10 to 17? If so, what are your thoughts?
