This is my all time favorite rye. Likely because it’s really not a rye in the traditional sense. Love this bourbon. My hat is off to you

Curious, how does it compare with the standard Wild Turkey 101?

I did a blind SBS between the two   It's slightly better, but not $20.00 better.   I bought two bottles and won't be replacing them until/unless WT comes to their senses and reduces the price.   For $45.00 I can get a handle of WT101

Today will be Blanton's SiB. My son passed on Feb 26 and I vowed to have a good pour on his birthday. May he be resting in peace.

You confirmed my suspicions. I will hold out for the 12 year.

Condolences on your son’s  passing.  I cannot imagine your pain.  In his honor, I will join you in raising a glass of Blanton’s to his memory.  Smoke and Prayers.

We celebrated our 32nd wedding anniversary today. I took the day off and we went back to the carousel where we got married. That's the same horse. Hung out with our grandson and daughter at the Butterfly House, then had a nice Jamaican cafe dinner. Capped it off with some roses.  Was a nice day. Glad I'll be working from home tomorrow!

Happy Anniversary!

My wife and I just celebrated 30 years this past Saturday.

We went to Brown County for the weekend and had a grand time.

Happy Anniversary!  Did you go to Lake Monroe, and if so, has the water level dropped?

Awww, MAN!   Losing a child is just wrong!!!   They are expected to bury us, right?   So sorry for your family's grief and pain.   I will add my feeble efforts to the chorus, too.   I'll crack a Blanton's and have a nice pour, as well.

We stayed in the Abe Martin Lodge in the Brown County State Park.  The park is some distance from Lake Monroe, but the creek that feeds into start Lake Monroe is in Brown County.

We've been getting rain every week for a while, so White River seemed up a bit last time I saw it.

Peace & Strength to you and your Family. I too will honor his memory with a pour of Blanton's...

P.S.

The only one that I had available was the Gold. As I figure it, Your Son was worth it and so very much more...

To Grady & Son and his Family. Salud!!!
