Thank you to all. Tough day but moving foward. Keeping all memories alive. The saving grace is that he is at peace after suffering a long illness. We miss him...

Sorry to hear of your loss.  I'll raise a glass of Blanton's Gold in his honor.

Some Remus Reserve v5 in the glass.  Another load to Goodwill and a guy is coming by to buy my guitars, mandolins and amp tomorrow.  Feels like progress.

Wow, you are really cleaning house.  Keeping at least one favorite guitar for yourself I hope?

Unfortunately no.  I have had some neurological issues with my hands that make playing impossible.  I was a decent player (about 45 years).  I can’t feel two fingers on my right hand and my hands cannot do what my brain tells them to for music.  The result is frustrating.  They are hand picked and “tuned” and need to be played.  The guy  handling the sale is out of Nashville.  He thinks they will be gone in a week or two.  On for somebody else to enjoy.

Now I just need a home for a 1923 Kimball upright.  Beautiful piece wrapped in quarter-sawn oak, ivory keys and a soundboard better than most grand pianos.  It looks great where it sitting, may just leave it in the house.

Was at the whiskey bar and tried the Grain to Glass KSBW and the KSWBW. Liked both but out of the two I would pick the wheated.

This evening is Heaven Hill BiB. Not a vey complex pour, but enjoyable none the less.

As usual,  blending away.    Tonight it's cask strength Still Austin mulled 50/50 with Cooper's Craft.   Not sure this is working;  last week I blended the SA with Uncle Nearest 1858 with better results.     The Cooper's Craft is better off drinking on its own.

WT-Generations in the glass tonight.

That bottle impressed the hell out of me.

It's really good.

Lucky to have tried a friend's, as

I couldn't ever get over the price enough to buy one,

but damn it's some of the best WT bourbon I've ever had.

Wow markandrex. That's a lot to take in. I would pray this situation will not progress or affect your ability to toast another round! Be well my internet buddy. Salute'

Saw a friend out last night who was meeting the HH crew. He wanted to not only sponser me and friend (as long as it was Heaven Hill product), but asked the bartender to pull a bottle he had a hand in picking. He has two things really going for him, accessability and a honed palete. This was as good EC as I've had. Thanks Robert!

Well, I couldn't wait to open one of the WT101 bottles I got on sale at BevMo.  I was surprised by how good this is.  As good, if not better than WT101 has been in years, IMO.  Reminds me of a baby RR SiB.  I followed this pour up with a small pour of a LL/HA bottle from 2018 - from the batches that were reported to have some ten year barrels in the blend.  I have to say, I preferred the 2025 bottle.  Not as complex as the 2018 but it has more depth of flavor and a better, longer finish.
