WHH 13 in the glass tonight.  Inspection found multiple issues that the buyer will have to address.  We’ll see how it goes.

Watching a monster thunderstorm roll through with a Maker’s “The Heart Release” over a clear cube.

Whoa!  That lightening blast was right overhead!  🫣

Well, my whole family done give up on me

And it makes me feel oh-so-sad.

The only one who will hang out with me

Is my dear Old Grandad

That’s OK.  You strike me as a kind of guy who when you drink alone, you prefer to be by yourself.  😁

New Riff SB Barrel strength in the glass. This is just really good Bourbon.

I love them too.   Really good bourbon, especially considering the age (or lack-thereof).

No judgment but the bottle is over half empty. I presume it was not a fresh bottle.

How does it compare to the 10 year?

Yes, it was fresh. I had some post dinner help from my brother. Been awhile since I've had the 10 year. I will say however that I have really enjoyed the current Old Fitz line.

Prost!!  Phil

WTKS after dinner.  A partial mri today that my surgeon has ordered full (head to tail) tomorrow.  That can’t be good.

So Heaven Hill bean counters are following the Brown-Forman bean counters' lead.  This is how they will make the transition:  introduce the smaller shrinkflation 700mL size in new coveted releases and after awhile consumers will simply get used to it.  Eventually after so many 700mL bottles are on liquor store shelves and accepted by consumers, then the big selling staple products (JD7, EW  Black, MM, etc.) will make the switch.

It's amazing how quickly that 700mL bottles have already started to take hold in the scotch aisles.  Bourbon is headed that direction too.
