Another load to Goodwill and a guy is coming by to buy my guitars, mandolins and amp tomorrow. Feels like progress. Wow, you are really cleaning house. I have had some neurological issues with my hands that make playing impossible. I was a decent player (about 45 years). I can’t feel two fingers on my right hand and my hands cannot do what my brain tells them to for music. The result is frustrating. They are hand picked and “tuned” and need to be played. The guy handling the sale is out of Nashville. He thinks they will be gone in a week or two. On for somebody else to enjoy. Now I just need a home for a 1923 Kimball upright. Beautiful piece wrapped in quarter-sawn oak, ivory keys and a soundboard better than most grand pianos. It looks great where it sitting, may just leave it in the house. MSB
Was at the whiskey bar and tried the Grain to Glass KSBW and the KSWBW. Liked both but out of the two I would pick the wheated.

ebo
This evening is Heaven Hill BiB. Not a vey complex pour, but enjoyable none the less. Edited June 13 by ebo spelling
Jazzhead
As usual, blending away. Tonight it's cask strength Still Austin mulled 50/50 with Cooper's Craft. Not sure this is working; last week I blended the SA with Uncle Nearest 1858 with better results. The Cooper's Craft is better off drinking on its own. Lucky to have tried a friend's, as I couldn't ever get over the price enough to buy one, but damn it's some of the best WT bourbon I've ever had.

Be well my internet buddy. Salute'
FacePlant
Saw a friend out last night who was meeting the HH crew. He wanted to not only sponser me and friend (as long as it was Heaven Hill product), but asked the bartender to pull a bottle he had a hand in picking. He has two things really going for him, accessability and a honed palete. This was as good EC as I've had. Thanks Robert!
fosmith
Well, I couldn't wait to open one of the WT101 bottles I got on sale at BevMo. I was surprised by how good this is. As good, if not better than WT101 has been in years, IMO. Reminds me of a baby RR SiB. I followed this pour up with a small pour of a LL/HA bottle from 2018 - from the batches that were reported to have some ten year barrels in the blend. I have to say, I preferred the 2025 bottle. Not as complex as the 2018 but it has more depth of flavor and a better, longer finish.
smokinjoe
Benchmark Bonded to start the weekend. For under $20, this is a solid pour. And, one of the few bourbons of this era that can take me a bit back to the nice butterscotch notes of ND Old Taylor. I ain’t sayin’ those notes are as good as those ND OTs, as the OTs were simply made differently in the old school way. But, these Benchmarks scratch that itch for me.

Skinsfan1311
The RRSiB was very good, as always. This one is even better!
rzelinka
Opened a fresh bottle of EH Taylor Single Barrel last night. I found it to be very enjoyable. Maybe my favorite of the EH varieties so far, with the Barrel Strength a close second. Off to start run some errands and make a few bourbons stops to see what I can find here along the way.
NDN98
Watching golf at a local bar and tried this. Quite tasty and my first time seeing a barrel proof toasted barrel!

markandrex
Wave after wave of showers here today. I’m enjoying a WTKS on the deck during a momentary sunny period. Cheers all!
JCwhammie
I made a batch of clear cubes today, so I figured I better have a pour on one. I forget what batch this bottle is. I went to Heaven Hill a year ago and snagged one of the blank stickers. I was going to copy the proof of this bottle to the ticker then add something clever. We'll, none of that ever happened! Oh well... Edited June 15 by JCwhammie Info
