VWIndy Posted April 8 Share Posted April 8 Wow! Just saw the footage and the visitors center and several of the warehouses are almost totally submerged. The Kentucky river crested and broke through the banks of the river. I do not know the extent of the damage but the warehouse is closed until April 10th as of this morning. He replied with “Thank you”. Also stories on Local 12 WKRC TV, WLWT and many other news and other websites. Some of the same pics and vid’s are being passed around by being copied and pasted. After the current water level goes down, I imagine some significant soil from the bank will have washed down stream. Then we have the issue of what will happen to barrels that have been submerged. We were just getting to a point where supply was getting a bit ahead of demand and this natural disaster happens. GaryT Posted April 12 Share Posted April 12 Hopefully any loss in barrels is minimal, and the good folx who work there are able to get back to the IMPORTANT work of bringing us more BT (and others) sooner than later. Curious if this type of flooding is expected at higher frequency what they might be able to do (not sure if any type of flood barrier is reasonable given the size of their footprint?)
