Not sure if Widow Jane qualifies as a craft bourbon, but I see it all the time, but always pass. Anyone tried Widow Jane before?

Yes, it is good if you like oakier bourbons. Wood forward if I recall. The 10 year is nice and not as woody as the cask strength special editions, although those are definitely richer. Flavor wise, the 10 year is probably a medium body.

They used to have a 7 or 8 year which was a good balanced bourbon, but I am not sure if it is still available. I do not see it on the company website. The Apple wood rye is pretty unique and I enjoy that.

For the price, I would lean more towards store picks that are barrel proof. However, I like a punch in the face of flavor and tend not to gravitate to very oaky bourbons.

Excellent. Thank you. I found a bottle of the 13 year for $110 locally. Not a bad price. The decadence is a maple infused. That one may be a little too sweet. That said, I do enjoy Old Forester 1910 and Woodford Reserve Double Oaked

I am pretty sure I had the Decadence, but I do not remember my thoughts on it.

That seems like a good price for the 13 year.
