Out and about yesterday. On sale for $37.99 with my Binny’s card. Got the peanuts for 1¢.😎

Glad to see bourbon is still reasonably priced in the future.

Also, Binny’s is still around…for better or worse.

Heehee!  FNBJ’s Flux Capacitor must have recently picked up some A grade Plutonium from…somewhere…😆

Some of you will remember me lamenting the loss of my local liquor store a few years back that was owned by a friend.

Ever since then I have been shut out of any LE bourbon due to not having the energy to try to "build the relationship" with another store due to most of them selling at secondary prices.

There is one small store I've been going to for staples and I appear to have crossed the threshold of being recognized as a regular because when I went in on Saturday the owner asked me if I had gotten the  Old Fitzgerald 7r BIB yet.

He was keeping them in back and retrieved one for me, green bag and all, and charged me MSRP.  Perhaps my luck has turned.

Sounds promising!

HH bib comes with a green bag? I've never seen it in a box, let alone a bag. But there are a lot of things I've never seen.

I'm still trying not to buy, except to restock staples, or special bottles. This one falls in the "special bottles" category. I can't wait to try it!

It's essentially single barrel Four Roses OESO at barrel proof and is 10.75 years old....

I haven't seen one of these Bulleit SiBs around since before the pandemic.  I only had one bottle but it was excellent.  And definitely 4R.

Same...that's why I jumped on it. I'm hoping that it's good.

Not trying to stir the pot here, just commenting. I thought Four Rose stopped supplying distillate to Bulleit years ago. IIRC, they started getting their distillate elsewhere. Brown Forman perhaps?

Yup....they sure did 😀

According to my buddy, who owns the LS & does outstanding picks..

"There’s a LOT of speculation on where this is distilled but details below may help you all figure it out or at least make a very good educated guess. Important details below…

- Bulleit bourbon
- distilled in KY
- 10.75 years old
- 75% corn 21% rye 4% barley
- uses the Bulleit “proprietary” #3 strawberry yeast strain. Think four roses fruity yeast. "

Picked up a jug of WT for $37.99. It was beside the $50 WT8. Can I join the “cheap bastard” club?

One of my standards, VOB 90 proof had gone missing around me the last several months.  The 80 proof, in nearly an identical label, had replaced it.  Saw the 90 back on the shelf today, so picked up a family sized to quench a bone dry

little-‘un.  😁

Did a thing this morning. Sat in line for a couple hours for a private pick drop. At least I had Mrs. Clueby,  the dog, and some friends for company. It was the damn tater bag that made me do it! I'm a sucker for those. You had to buy the Blue Note pick with the ER pick.  They had 90 bottles at this store and there were about 87 people in line. Stopped by the grocery store on the way home to get some ribs for tomorrow and picked up the MM pick. I tried it a few weeks ago and it's a REALLY good barrel.

You guys still social distancing? 😀 Do you take numbers or have to stay in line? Hopefully we’ll see some ribs in the smoker section tomorrow!
