wadewood
For those of you in Southern CA, your favorite Costa Mesa liquor store just received a shipment on bourbon from KBD, including Noah's Mill & Rowan's Creek, both of these in wooden boxes. On the shelf was 20 YO Classic Cask Bourbon and 22 YO Classic Cask Rye.I bought a bottle of the 22 YO rye and plan to bring it to festival for gazebo. It was distilled in 1981, bottled 2004, 90 proof. This is a great store. I also purchased today a bottle of Inner Circle Green Dot rum (pot distilled from Australia), a 14 YO BMH, 2 bottles of Chambray flavored vodka (on sale for $10 - clerk something about a dispute with distributor), and a bottle of Staggs Leap '99 Cab.I just missed a tasting they were doing on some samples from different barrels of 10 YO Eagle Rare. Apparently they were getting ready to purchase a barrel.
LeNell
Chambray flavored vodka (on sale for $10 - clerk something about a dispute with distributor), You must mean Charbay. This line is made by a distiller and son with mother and daughter as the only other employees of the distillery. They use fresh fruit unlike most flavored vodkas. A lovely family with delicious vodka. You got a steal! That's much cheaper than I even pay wholesale here in NY.
wadewood
Yes, it is Charbay Vodka. I bought a bottle of the Lemon, Blood Orange, and Ruby Red Grapefruit. I also went by a BevMo store (large retail chain of stores) and they had all the Charbay Vodkas on sale for $12.
