Gary, arriving for my first Festival some years ago, it rained for many hours straight, drumming down hard from late-afternoon when I arrived at Louisville Airport until (and well after) 10:00 p.m. when I arrived finally in B'town in a rented car. The delay to get to B'town was mostly due to being continually lost in an environment that I can only liken to an endless car wash going full blast except for the lights being out. And that was just a normal storm, so I hope we don't get anything "special" this time.

I have been to every Ky. Bourbon Festival...Alot of them have been rained on...I have watched many barrel rolling competitions beneath a umbrella...

I have tended the booth during heavy, heavy rains...

We have been very fortunate the last several years. The weather has been awsome...I am keeping my fingers crossed that the rain's will hold off...but I won't hold my breath

Guess who followed me home to Houston? He's now tropical storm Ivan and should hit east of here late tonight or tomorrow morning. Oh well, we need the rain.

Last I remember hearing about Ivan, it was going through VA and the DC area spawning tornados, etc. Did it hook back down the Atlantic and cut across the Gulf again?! Some guest just don't know when to leave, I guess . . .
