idpa2000
Every Thanksgiving we travel from Western PA to visit familyin Tenn. on our way home we make it a habit of stopping for a tour of one of the fine distillerys in the Lexington area. This year I want to find a liquor store in the Lex area that has a nice selection of bourbons. Any suggestions? Thanks,
jeff
Either of the two Liquor Barns would be a good choice. Also check out Shopper's Village and/or Thoroughbred Liquors, as they sometimes carry items not available at the LB. If you're interested, PM me and I'll send you directions. chperry
Where in TN? If you come down I-75 toward Knoxville, you can stop at the Liquor Barn in Richmond, KY. It is about 15 miles south of Lexington.
jeff
Actually, I believe that is the "Liquor World" in Richmond, no affiliation to the Liquor Barns of Lexington and Louisville. I think they are the largest liquor retailer in Richmond, but I can't speak for their selection; I've never been.
idpa2000
We come north on 127 from Crossville TN.
bobbyc
"Liquor World" There is one of those in Shively, I think it was part of the Liquor Outlets and wasn't absorbed into Liquor Barn. No matter, I found a forgotten bottle of Hirsch 20 year there one day last winter. No one had bothered to up the price, and I went quietly out the door with it. BSS
If your coming North on 127, it's dry from the Tenn line to the Mercer County line. About 25 miles SW of Lexington, so don't even look until you get to Mercer County.
brendaj
Hi, a liquor store in the Lex area that has a nice selection of bourbons Drop by and see my buddy Morgan. He's at the Liquor Barn on Richmond Road, in Lexington. He's a Bourbon lover, and knows his stuff. (He's also into cigars) Tell him you're StraightBourbon and he'll treat you right...
