too bad Christmas candy making time only comes once a year! wink.gif

That can be easily remedied Jessica! How about Memorial Day Candy and Independence Day Candy, etc....? Just need to set your own precedence and allow for melting....

You trying to tell me I don't need dry ice!?! grin.gifwink.gifgrin.gif

Thanks for the advice, but with an enthusiastic baker like myself yum.gif if I had an excuse all year round, come Bourbon Fest you'd need a wheelbarrow to roll me around in! lol.gif

But I suppose if we get an event organized requiring food I'd HAVE to make something. *wink wink*

I have tried a lot of different bourbon balls and have found that the Rebecca Ruth bourbon balls are the best. Their Buffalo Trace bourbon balls are very good, but I actually prefer the regular Rebecca Ruth bourbon balls made with 100 proof Evan Williams. I think the higher proof is what makes them a bit better - I taste a little more bourbon and alcohol in them than in the Buffalo Trace bourbon balls.

You can order them here: http://shop.store.yahoo.com/rebeccaruth/index.html

(I have no affiliation other than as a satisfied customer)

They also have seasonal shipping restrictions, though I think it may just cost a LOT to have them shipped in the summer.
