Alton Brown Acknowledgment

In the acknowledgment of Alton (Good Eats) Brown's latest book I came across the following:

"W. Shakespeare: dead but good writer; Coffee: beverage; Knob Hill Bourbon": ditto; Little Debbie Nutty Bars: delicious treat; ..."

He must really know his bourbon to be drinking a brand that doesn't exist. Then again, maybe it's new release, Jim Beam Brands in partnership with Heaven Hill.

Heh, that's amusing... you'd think someone would have caught a reference to a non-existent bourbon. Guess not.

On a related note, my wife went to the same culinary school as Alton Brown, and they have him back here giving pep talks to the students every once in a while. He's one of the few "T.V. Chefs" that she can tolerate, although we don't have any of his books.

I watched one of the popular "tv chef's" that included Booker Noe as one of his guests...

It was great to see Booker as the special guest but on the table where they were cooking...The very notable "red wax" brand....Good Grief!

If ya don't have the right product, cover it up...and if you don't know for sure , don't say it...

BettyeJo is too polite to say it, but I'm not.Emeril was the dumbass that did this. Booker was on in person and he ( Emeril) had a bottle of Maker's Mark in a paper bag but their " signature red wax" was visible.

Well why didn't he just get Bill Samuels Jr on his show and be done with it then? It was a supreme insult to Booker and Jim Beam Brands, no more, no less.
