mobourbon
I'm a manager of a PA liquor store and a couple of weeks ago I checked for GTS on our intranet and not one bottle was found. I checked today and 56 ( now 55 ) bottles are available spread out over 21 stores. I tried it at the Philadelphia Whiskey Festival a few weeks ago and it rocked my world! The taste was fantastic! And it had a real spicy finish. I bought a bottle at the festival and was very disappointed when I found no more available. I can't tell you how excited I was to find so much of it available now! If anyone is interested,I can post the locations. Fred
TNbourbon
Fifty-five bottles might sound like a lot -- but, trust me, it won't last long!Grab it while you can.
Speedy_John
Hey, Fred! Welcome aboard! In addition to my full-time job, I work as a part-time clerk at Store #0214 at the Waterworks in Pittsburgh. About a month or so ago, our store received one 3-bottle case of the Stagg. None of the bottles ever hit the shelf. Two days ago, we received 6 bottles. Three are already spoken for and I suspect the remaining three won't last the weekend.BTW, how was the Philly Whisky Festival? I wanted to go, but...well, sometimes real life gets in the way. Care to post a few details?SpeedyJohn
mobourbon
BTW, how was the Philly Whisky Festival? I wanted to go, but...well, sometimes real life gets in the way. Care to post a few details? SpeedyJohn Thanks for the welcome, SpeedyJohn. I'm the manager at 4616 in Schwenksville. The Philly Whiskey Festival was fantastic! Over 100 whiskeys to taste. Some cognacs and rums, too. Mark Brown, the president of Buffalo Trace had a seminar with three of their experiments to taste. Julian Van Winkle, David Pickerell from Makers Mark, Tom Bulliet, Eddie Russell and Parker Beam were there. I would have liked to see fred Noe and Jimmy Russell, but they had other commitments. It's because of the show I discovered George T. Stagg. I tasted all of the bourbons. It was great not only to taste the bourbons, but also to be able to talk to the people from the distilleries. The food was great, too. It was well worth the $85. I live about an hour from Philly, so I got a hotel room. Good thing, too. I don't remember going to bed.
