I was driving by my favorite liquor store and the marquis out front said "Jim Beam Black $13.50". Screeeech, and I'm in the parking lot. Limit 2 per customer, but I'm happy. Might have to go back and get 2 more today. I love a bargain.

We never get deals like that in my state.

Same here. My state sometimes runs "sales", but usually it's like $1 or $2 off.

Bargain in terms of $$ in TN also is an oxymoron, except in the sense that I can sometimes find otherwise hard-to-find, or even obsolete bourbons. For example, I've recently run across a small stash of Stitzel-Weller-distilled W.L. Weller Special Reserve -- 2 1.75Ls, 2 375mls and 4 200ml -- and old Yellowstone (Louisville) Distillery 200ml, and have plucked several Wild Turkey 12s over the past 18 months.

Guess you'd have to term them 'finds', not 'bargains'.

Yep, free enterprise works, everything else doesn't.

It´s the same situation here in Sweden. At least we´re sligthly better off than Norway and Finland where it its even illegal for the state-controlled stores to list hard liquor products on the Internet. If you visit their pages you´ll find only beer and wine.
