Since I joined almost 3 years ago, I am drinking about the same, usually 1 drink per night, but the quality of my selections has gone way up. My first "bunker" consisted of Maker's Mark, WT80 and Woodford Reserve. Nothing wrong with those and they still appear in the linup. Now I have to decide not only what bourbon to pour, but what vintage of Stagg, Birthday Bourbon, Eagle Rare 17yo or EWSB to chose lol.gif. Vive la difference! toast.gif

Jeff, I'm the same as you. Since joining in November, I also still drink 1 glass a night. I did start with Booker's, but most of the time I drank Jim Beam White, now the variety of bourbons is much larger and of better quality.

I'm one who drinks more but only because bourbon has replaced beer as my regular sit-at-the-computer drink, hence more bourbon but not more drinking overall.

The quality of my bourbon is definitely higher as well as the cost of my average bottle. Nothing wrong with the old standards WT101 and DN1843, but when you have so many to choose from as Jeff said....

I drink the same, one drink per night as before. The board has helped me find new bourbons that I would probably not have tried before (and I always check the board before buying a new bourbon).

I drink about the same total amount of whisk(e)y as I did before finding SB.com, but the overal percentage of bourbon vs. Scotch has made a dramatic shift toward bourbon. I found SB.com during my initial exploration phase, and was buying all kinds of different whisk(e)y to taste and explore this new world.

When it became clear that bourbon was easily my favorite, the members of SB.com have helped me discover the best of what the bourbon world has to offer. Seeing as my liquor-controlled state (Washington) carries a rather limited selection, I never would have bothered to seek out Stagg, Birthday Bourbon, the Van Winkles, Sazerac, etc. For helping to open my eyes and my palate (not to mention my wallet -- ouch), I am eternally grateful! Thanks, folks!
