BourbonJoe
I know that a lot of bourbons are made in one distillery. Does anyone know the exact number of Kentucky Distilleries that are producing today?
TNbourbon
In Kentucky:<ul type="square">[*]Jim Beam: Clermont and Boston[*]Four Roses: Lawrenceburg[*]Wild Turkey: Lawrenceburg[*]Woodford Reserve: Versailles[*]Buffalo Trace: Frankfort[*]Brown-Forman: Louisville[*]Barton: Bardstown[*]Heaven Hill: Louisville (distilling); Bardstown (warehousing/bottling)[*]Maker's Mark: LorettoIn Virginia:<ul type="square">[*]A. Smith Bowman: Fredricksburg (they add a small bit of local distillate to their Virginia Gentleman bottlings otherwise distilled at Buffalo Trace)[*]George Washington (historical): Mt. Vernon Additionally, Kentucky Bourbon Distillers (erstwhile Willet Distillery) in Bardstown is in the process of installing updated distilling equipment, and may be operational by the end of the year. But currently it does not distill. There also are a number of others dba "ABC Distilling Co.", et al, that do not actually distill, but buy their bourbon from those distilleries listed above (which one is usually anybody's guess, because the bottlers don't like to say). David Sherman Corporation of St. Louis (Rebel Yell, Ezra Brooks, Yellowstone) is another non-distilling major bottler.

BourbonJoe
Tim, How about McLain & Kyne in Louisville. They make Jefferson and Jefferson's Reserve. Are they to be included in the list? Joe
