My first post, so I apolgize if this has been discussed before. Is there a way to order JTS Brown online? I'm in NYC and you can not get it at any store here. Any thoughts? Thank you.

LeNell's in Brooklyn may have it and if she doesn't, she has lots of brands as good or better!

. . . she has lots of brands as good or better!

Gary,

Yes, but Fast Eddie Felson didn't drink those other brands in the movie, "The Hustler", which could be the point here, for all we know. wink.gif Lacking a context or even an introduction from the questioner, one can only guess.

IIRC, Bettye Jo has told us that JTS Brown is one of the many brands acquired by Heaven Hill over the years, now relegated to the so-called "cats and dogs" category. That leads me to believe that any similarity between the current bottling and the JTS Brown of old would be purely accidental. In fact, I wonder whether HH makes any effort to maintain a consistent taste profile for such brands.

I know JTS Brown has been discussed here before. Perhaps I'll do a search and see what turns up.

You are correct with The Hustler connection. My friend and I have been drinking bourbon since we were in 8th grade. He has been on the search for JTS Brown for a few years and I'd love to be able to find it for him. We both grew up in the south but now live in NYC. LeNells was a good call, but she doens't carry it right now b/c of some sort of distribution problem. But she said she'll call when it is back in stock.

Love this site, love Blantons,Pappy Van Winkle and Knob Creek bourbons.

Thanks for all the help.

Mary,

You are welcome, and it was fun, to boot. (Using the Search function is pretty easy, once you get the hang of it.)

Believe it or not, there were other posts and threads that I chose to omit.

Yours truly,

Dave Morefield
