Chaz7
Last night, I found a bottle of ORVW 10yr 107. Very good for $22.00. On my way out, in the locked high end section, they had a Pappy Van Winkle 23 yr old. $205.00, is that right? I can readily say the 20 year old is worth every penny at $70.00. But $205.00? bobbyc
That is a correct price. I saw one today for 195.00 If you can get to Louisville and home on less than 10 bucks, I'll tell you where it is. When you do the math and realise some bars charge 40 a shot for that Bourbon, 205 tends toward reasonable, assuming you'd be willing to part with 40 for a shot.5 shots and the rest of the bottle is free! It is a rare fine bourbon and only you can decide if it's for you. Damn give it up for Tim( TNBourbon) he opened a Lawrenceburg and a Frankfort bottling of these for the sampler this past April! Chaz7
Well, I was hoping for $95.00 or so, I guess I'll be weighing that one for a while. I understand the new release is due in Nov.-Dec. Any less upon initial release?
bobbyc
Nope, they can get something around that 200 mark for each bottle and it sells at a brisk pace even at that, you'll find a stray bottle here and there, but it gets scarce within weeks of release, or so has been my experience.
