My first post on SB.com was almost exactly a year ago, when I was asking about what Bourbon would be available on a Royal Caribbean cruise ship. Now that I know that they serve Blantons I can relax, but I would still like to take aboard (smuggle ye gads)something special. We are sailing out of Miami next week, but leave for Orlando tomorrow for a visit to the Mouse first. The bourbon pickens have been slim in Florida when I have checked in the past (ABC stores). Any good stores in the downtown Miami area to shop in?

Yeah there's a chain, I'm pretty sure it's called Flanagan's, which is very good. There is one in Fort Lauderdale somewhat inland (say ten minutes or so east from the main highway, I-95 I think it's called). I saw there some George Dickel 10 year old Special Reserve from the UDV release over 10 years ago and some other interesting items, I think a Stagg and some ORVW. It is part of a drug store. (An incongruous Florida practice that is probably a hangover from pre-Repeal days). There is probably one downtown (Miami, maybe Miami Beach, too) and I would think they all have a similar choice.

Thanks a bunch I'll check it out. A man can only handle so many Banana Daquiri's.

Yes and by the way I meant 10 miles west of the I-95 not east of course. The area is (or very near to) Pembroke Pines.
