I've been away from here for a little while, and it'll take me a bit to get caught back up, so bear with if the following has been already asked infinitum, but I was wondering, is the 12 year old Van Winkle Reserve still SW? Just curious, as even if it isn't, no big deal, cause everything the Van Winkles put their name on is a top notch product, regardless of where it's distilled, just that there's is a bit of nostalgia for me and my family for anything from the old SW distillery.

Thanks,

James

We understood from comments made by Chuck Cowdery previously that this is S-W whiskey that is disappearing as we type. Chuck, Julian, anybody...is this correct?

Our 12-year VW is now Bernheim distillation & mighty fine whiskey!!

Julian

Great! - Looking forward to trying the new distillation. Just out of curiosity, though, how does one distinguish between a bottle of Bernheim and one of SW?

How can I see on the label if it is a SW or a Bernheim?

I'm looking forward to trying the new one.......I'll be sure and post my comments. That older 12yo sure was good though......I'm down to five cases of it!
