Evan Williams 23YR

I'm contemplating buying an EW 23YR and am looking for some opinions regarding this. It is about $200 from England. I've not seen any here in the states.

As far as I know EW-23 is not available in the U.S. I think most of it comes from Europe. I've always questioned whether it was worth 150 or 200 bucks. I think when all the facts are in, there are several others IMHO (Van Winkles for one) that would be cheaper and maybe better.

I remember reading in a Malt Advocate that it was only available in Duty Free Shops, but it also got good reviews.

I always have a PVWFR 20YR on hand, but am always looking to expand.

And having tried the 23YR at the Bourbon Festival, that may be one to add. Kudos Julian, that was some very fine whisky!!

The 23yo is available for sale at the HH visitor center for the low, low price of $350. I haven't tried it.....and probably won't at that price. It was 99 euros in London this past summer.
