doubleblank
I can't speak for Julian....but I have seen a number of Hirsch bottlings besides the highly sought after 16 and 20yo's.....this 15yo and a 19yo come to mind. The "Pot Still" story was a Michters marketing story.....they used a continuous still and a pot doubler. They did have a small scale pot still at the end of their operations.....I recall it was operational beginning in 1976 and made a barrel a day. They sold the 100% pot still very dear. I have marketing info from Michters that a lot of the 100% pot still was sold in special decanters for $1000.Anyway....I haven't had this one, but I guess its very similar to the early 16yo's.Randy
NorCalBoozer
that label is interesting...i can't tell if it came that way because it looks like mold/age spots.
jvanwinkle
This was one of the first Hirsch bottling I bottled in 1989. Those guys-Cork & Bottle, bottled alot of differnet Hirsch labels until they dumped all the whiskey in a tank in 1990. It was all the same Michter's distillation. I would have to check my old records to see how much was bottled. I think this label was all export.Julian

dougdog
Julian, I think this label was all export.Julian This would be consistent with the information that I received from the gentleman who sent me the original picture.Koji's post would also lend to support that...Thanks Julian!Best dog
