I have not seen much of a discussion on Corner Creek Bourbon. I have always had a bottle on hand and enjoy it when I try a pour during our long winter months. I would like to hear some of the more accomplished tasters give me their impressions of this 8 year old very drinkable selection. It is always available here but for a price of around $25.00 Iam sure you can give some better selections, or not?

I like Corner Creek. Sam's here in Chicago still has it. There has been a lot of discussion about it here because it claims to contain both wheat and rye, but I doubt it really does. It might, however, contain wheat instead of rye, as the guy who created it says he once worked with Old Fitz and wanted a wheated product, although I can't say its taste marks it as a wheater. It's a bottler brand, meaning it's somebody's bulk whiskey. Impossible to say who for sure, but the usual suspects.

Isn't it likely to be a blend of a wheated bourbon and a ryed bourbon? This would be an easy way to do this.

I tried this bourbon a couple of times and really liked it! Not sure about the prices point at our state monopoly stores (C$55). Get's lost in the shuffle when I can get ETL for C$42, Buffalo Trace $36, Eagle Rare $60 etc.. If it ever goes on sale though, I'll be tempted that's for sure.

$19.99 in most places around here. That was an introductory price to stores for a 3-bottle buy a few months ago after it had been absent from the market for awhile. I suspect it will be higher on restocking.

Nonetheless, it seems to be idling on many shelves, even at that price point.

I like it, and at $19, I really like it. It is different than any other Bourbon in my locker, but I can't easily define the differences. It also seems to taste different each time I try it.

I know the first time I saw it in its "wine" bottle, I thought it must be a gimick. It took me a while to try it out, but now it is a semi regular pour.

How much does that translate to in US dollars? I originally thought you were in CA but went back and found my error (embarassment!!!) and see you are in Canada. It probably translates to prices close to those I am accustomed to paying.

Since BT is unavailable in GA I had a co-worker purchase some in FL (Tallahassee). Almost choked when he brought it back with a $36 price tag (750ml). Found it for $20 last week in SC even though according to the BT web page it doesn't exist there. Maybe FL has converted to Canadian currency.

That has been the speculation, but no one seems to know for sure, including the guy who owns the brand, which is what makes me think it isn't and the person who wrote the label was just a dope.
