I noticed that this question had been raised on a couple of the previous OGD 114 threads, but as far as I could tell there was no real answer given. Does the lot # on the bottle indicate anything about when the bourbon was bottled? I recently picked up a couple of ND 114s that are Lot #2. There is a bottom stamp on the bottle that may read 81, but I'm not sure. The only other time I had OGD 114 was about 5 years ago and it was the Beam version. I remember liking it.

For whatever it's worth, I have a tax-stamped (so, early) bottle of OGD 114 open that's from Lot 6.

Thanks for the info, Tim. Have you had a chance to compare the old Old Grand-Dad 114 to the Beam version?

I also have several of the tax-stamped "81" dated bottles of OGD 114. The 200ml bottles are marked "Lot 1" and the 500ml bottles are marked from "Lot 2".
