I think I need to be on the payroll.

After talking to two local liquor stores in the last two weeks they have added most of the Van Winkle and Pappy products to their inventory. Now that they have them, i've been trying to send friends there way. Going to build my own little mid-west micro market here...lol. I also talked up Buffalo Trace, Elmer T and Sazerac, but sounds like the availbility to the retailers here at present is none existent. Apparently Nebraska has some weird liquor laws.

At least I'm glad to see VW and Pappy around! Finally!

You may be committing a form of bourbon suicide, Mark -- a lot of markets can no longer stock Van Winkles because the distributors can't get them into stock. For example, the Pappys and Lot B are the only thing we can order here right now -- and that's spotty. You just have to be lucky enough to order the week they get it in. And I've heard rumors that a lot of retailers in Kentucky are dropping the line because supply is so minimal they can't keep it on their shelves.

Quick...I need a VW I.V. stat

Lol..you're scaring me,,I'll have to bunker a bottle or three.

Has the market just grown that much? That they just can't keep up?

Mark...Stitzel/Weller Whiskey will soon be extinct!!! The demand currently is on a very limited supply of a great whiskey. I have all the confidence in the world Julian and BT will always supply the labels with the highest quality.

When you say "Stitzel/Weller Whiskey" is that specifically ORVW labels only,as opposed to "Pappy"?

Guess maybe I don't know exactly what you mean by "Stitzel/Weller Whiskey".

I am drawing a blank here Tim and Randy, could you help me out, is Lot B SW? I am thinking it is because its got that incredible depth and flavor, but am a little thrown off by the 12 year. Then again we all know there was some SW Weller 12 year left...

I ask because I found a retailer who chose a SB of Lot B that a couple of people I talked to who have had it claimed it was the best they'd ever tasted... So the question is do I buy 1 bottle or 5?

Thanks Bobby, I didn't think so, but Julian is right - mighty fine whiskey!

That reminds me, I need to go out and try to find some more ORVW15...
